Move Camp SS4 at Paa Namsai: When Digital Art Steps Outside the Classroom

From 17–19 December 2025, Paa Namsai welcomed students from the Digital Art Design program at Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University for Move Camp Season 4.

The camp invited participants to step away from the classroom and the screen, and engage directly with a real natural environment, real spaces, and shared learning through a variety of creative activities.

For Paa Namsai, this became another example of how a natural setting can be part of the learning process, without separating creativity from real life.

MOVE Camp

When Learning Moves Beyond the Classroom

Over the course of three days and two nights, participants used the natural surroundings of Paa Namsai as part of their learning environment.

Key activities included:

  • Individual Digital Painting — using real surroundings as inspiration and visual reference

  • Short Video Clips — exploring storytelling through images, movement, and perspectives shaped by the site

  • Thinking & Creating — developing ideas, solving problems, and creating work through direct experience

Moving from the classroom into an environment of forest, water, natural light, and ambient sound changed the context of learning itself.

The surroundings were not merely a backdrop. They became part of the material for observation, reflection, and creative development.

More Than Skills: Learning to Live and Work Together

Move Camp was not only about developing Digital Art skills.

Living and learning together over several days also gave participants opportunities to practice communication, listening, adaptability, and collaboration with people who may think differently.

In this kind of setting, learning happens not only through the work being produced, but also through the relationships that develop among participants.

An environment that supports open exchange can also make it easier for people to share ideas, experiment, and learn from one another.

When Nature Becomes Part of the Creative Process

Another clear feature of the camp was the role that nature played in shaping the creative process.

Walking among trees, observing the water, noticing light and shadow, listening to natural sounds, and experiencing the rhythm of the space could all become starting points for creative work.

Design, therefore, did not emerge from tools or screens alone.

It also grew from observation, feeling, and the experience of being present in a real environment.

Friendship and Shared Experience

Alongside the learning activities, participants also had time to spend together informally.

Music, conversation, and evening activities became part of the experience, helping participants build familiarity and connection with one another.

For a camp like this, what participants take away is not only the work they create, but also shared experiences, memories, and new perspectives on learning outside the classroom.

Paa Namsai as a Space for Learning and Creative Activities

Move Camp SS4 is one example of how a natural environment can support many different forms of learning.

This can include art, design, workshops, group learning, and activities that benefit from a calm and open setting.

For Paa Namsai, the value is not simply in providing a venue for an event. It is also about allowing the place, the natural environment, and the people involved to become part of the learning process together.

This kind of activity also reflects Paa Namsai’s broader view of the site as more than a residential community, but also as a place that can support learning, creativity, and activities that contribute to quality of life.

A Record from Move Camp SS4

Move Camp Season 4 may have been a short event, but it offered another example of how learning can become more meaningful when it moves beyond familiar boundaries and connects with nature, people, and direct experience.

For Paa Namsai, this is another record of how natural space can be used in ways that go beyond residential living.
